Amanbagh offers many activities, however we decided to just mellow out and enjoy the restfulness before we go to The Jaipur Literary Festival. We know that will be crazy busy, with no time to rest.
After a leisurely breakfast we went to the Library at the
resort and looked through some great books about India. We ordered via Amazon
one of the books.
Upon returning to our room I worked on transferring data
from Vijay’s old iPhone to Cathy’s old iPhone that we gave to him. Everything transferred
correctly!
We then gathered our books and read in the sun by the pool.
A great way to spend a day. That was followed by probably one of the best
massages we have ever had, at their Spa. It was called a relaxation massage and
it was certainly well named!
They provide "Monkey Sticks" if a monkey comes near you, you tap the pole on the ground and the monkey scampers away. You don't want to let him get near anything he could steal. We saw monkey tracks in the dried cement, just like you would see dog paw prints at home.

Cocktails outside by the fire was followed by a delicious
Indian Dinner. We shared Tandoori chicken and a vegetable Biryani. The biriyani is cooked with a pastry top. At serving the crust is folded back to reveal the fragrant rice and vegetables. The food here is quite good.
Tomorrow we are off for the 2 hour drive to Jaipur and
preparations for the festival.
